Early Life and Background
Ashton Jeanty is a talented football player known for his great skills on the field. He was born on December 2, 2003, in Jacksonville, Florida. College Football Career at Boise State
Freshman Year (2022)
Ashton joined Boise State in 2022 as a freshman. He played alongside another running back, George Holani. He played in all 14 games, starting in two of them. By the end of the season, he had rushed for 821 yards on 156 carries and scored seven touchdowns. One of the most exciting moments of his first year was in the 2022 Frisco Bowl. In that game, he rushed for 178 yards and scored a touchdown. His great performance helped Boise State win the game.
Sophomore Year (2023)
Ashton continued to play very well in his second year at Boise State. He still shared playing time with Holani, but he was the top rusher for the team. He ran for 1,347 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. In addition to running the ball, he also showed his ability to catch passes. He gained 569 receiving yards and scored five touchdowns. These numbers made him one of the best running backs in the country. His total yards from both running and catching the ball placed him second in the nation. Because of his amazing performance, he was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year.
Junior Year (2024)
The 2024 season was the best season of Ashton’s college career. In the first game of the season against Georgia Southern, he ran for 267 yards. This was a new record for Boise State in a single game. He also tied a Mountain West record by scoring six touchdowns in one game. Throughout the season, he continued to impress. He led all players in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) in rushing yards and total yards. By the end of the season, he had 2,601 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns.
